ABOUT US

Our Values

Diverse

RISE values the multitude of organisations that deliver young people and children’s work. There is a need for variety to meet the needs of as many young people as possible.

Young People Centred

RISE places young people at the centre of everything we do.

Collaborative

RISE is non-competitive and encourages collaboration between cross sector members. We will work to fundraise, coordinate and network to benefit our whole membership. We will not compete against members, nor will we deliver services which members could provide.

Committed

RISE follows through on promises and works tirelessly to create meaningful change for children and young people. No matter the challenge, RISE stays focused on what matters most — helping young people feel heard, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Local

RISE works for and with local communities, while partnering with statutory, public and private organisations to deliver meaningful, place-based outcomes.

Ambitious

RISE champions bold dreams and enables opportunities that help young people reach their full potential.

RISE Priorities

1. Building Stronger Infrastructure

We strengthen the foundations that support young people to thrive. By mapping local provision and identifying gaps and opportunities, we connect partners through our Children and Young People Multi-Agency Forum—unlocking access to funding, training and collaboration. A core priority is growing a strong, sustainable, trusted hub for coordination, insight and long-term capacity-building.

2. Raising Aspirations & Amplifying Youth Voice

We believe young people—especially those whose voices are too often unheard—should shape the services and opportunities designed for them. Building on the success of our first Youth Summit, we will co-design future events that bring young people and decision-makers together, creating real pathways for influence, ambition and change.

3. Supporting Young People Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)

We work to open doors to employment, skills and progression. Through employer engagement days, partnerships with local businesses, and a dedicated NEET network group, we promote meaningful opportunities and create direct links between young people and the world of work—supporting them to move forward with confidence.

4. Promoting Positive Mental Health

Good mental health underpins everything. We enable young people to access opportunities that support wellbeing, resilience and connection, while championing early intervention—ensuring support is available before challenges reach crisis point.
